UCSC Stable Isotope Laboratory
FACILITIES
The UCSC stable isotope facility has two mass spectrometers, a FISONS
Optima, and a FISONS Prism. Both are equipped with automatic carbonate
devices. In addition the Prism is fitted with the VG "Multi-prep" autosampling
system for carbonates and oxygen analyses of waters. The OPTIMA is fitted
with a Carlo-Erba CHN Analyzer for continuous flow measurement.
