. . . Our "New" Westsail 32, Amable . . .

On our way out of the San Francisco Bay, enroute to our new home in
Moss Landing. Poor old Sila was stuck at work on
the tugs all summer, so I did the boat shopping myself. Amable was the
second boat I saw but I was sure she was the one. She had many of
the attributes we were looking for - neat interior, no teak decks,
basically in good working condition, without too many bells & whistles to
drive up the price. Also instrumental was meeting the seller, and finding
that his approach toward the boat was very similar to ours. Apparently
he felt the same, that we would take care of the boat as he would like it
to be taken care of, and he sailed us to the Berkeley Marine Center on
November 7, 2004. From that day on, we have been enjoying our boat! Easy
for me to say since Sila's doing most of the work while I sit in the lab.
But I don't think I've ever seen him happier, and that while covered with
fiberglass dust.
